Vector Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the personal data (hereinafter, the “Data”) that we collect from you to enable us to of provide you with the products and services we offer.
We attach particular importance to the protection of your personal data, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (E.U.) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, as well as the Law of 30 July 2018 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.
By using our solution or by providing us with your Data when requesting information, commercial offers, directly or from our partners, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not accept the provisions of this policy, please do not use our solution and do not communicate your Data to us. In this case, you agree not to benefit from all the services and other advantages offered by VIASAT CONNECT.

We will only use the Data for the processing purposes described below.
3.1. Processing of Data as Data Controller
3.1.1. Registration and creation of a user account
The purpose of this processing is to allow you to register, verify your identity and create and manage a user account in order to benefit from our services.
The categories of personal data processed in the context of this processing are: your identification data (surname, first name, company name and address), your contact data (email address and telephone number), your connection data (login, password, logs) and your language preferences.
The legal basis for this processing is the performance of a contract.
We keep your Data for as long as your registration is effective.
3.1.2. Maintenance of user accounts
The purpose of this processing is to enable us to manage your user account, to ensure security and reliability, to prevent fraud and abuse of our services, to manage requests from data subjects and to provide user support.
The categories of personal data processed in the context of this processing are: your identification data (name, first name, company name and address), your contact data (email address and telephone number), your connection data (login, password, logs), your language preferences.
The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest.
We retain your Data for as long as your registration is effective.

3.2. Data processing as a subcontractor
We process your Data on behalf of our Clients and in accordance with their instructions in the context of the services we provide to them. In doing so, we act as a Data Processor. Our client acts as the data controller.
In this respect, we comply with the applicable regulations on the protection of personal data and assist you in exercising your rights as a data subject.
For more information on the implementation of these processing operations and in particular on how long the Data are kept, we refer you to the privacy policies of our Clients and to the service contracts binding us to them.

- Display on the solution and download of the Data entrusted from it: user identification and contact data; professional activities; land data as defined in our General Terms and Conditions of Sale; electronic identification data; connection data.

Our solutions use cookies.

4. How long do we keep your data?
We keep your Terrain Data for the period of time defined by our Clients, who are responsible for the processing. Otherwise, this period is set at three months.
At the end of these retention periods, we make every effort to ensure that your Data are rendered inaccessible.
5. To whom may your Data be disclosed?
Your Data may be passed on for the above-mentioned purposes on the one hand to dealers who are part of the VIASAT CONNECT group and who market VECTOR solutions and on the other hand, to dealers who are not part of the VIASAT CONNECT group and who market VECTOR solutions.
In the course of providing our services, in particular in order to enable the solution to function, we may have to subcontract some or all of our tasks to technical subcontractors who are bound to us by contracts.
VIASAT CONNECT requires its subcontractors to comply with data protection legislation and to present sufficient guarantees regarding the implementation of appropriate technical and organisational measures, so that the processing meets the requirements of the applicable data protection legislation and guarantees the protection of your rights.
We do not sell or otherwise disclose the Data we collect about you to third parties.
In some circumstances, our website and applications may provide you with plugins from various social networks. If you choose to interact with a social network site such as Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter, your activity on our site or via our applications will also be accessible on that social network. Please read the privacy policies of these social networks for detailed information about the collection and transfer of personal information, your rights and how you can obtain a satisfactory privacy setting.
6. What are your rights?
- Right of access: you have the right to have confirmation that your Data are being processed, to have access at any time and free of charge to your Data and to obtain a copy of your Data.
- Right of rectification: you have the right to demand that your incorrect Data be corrected, that your incomplete Data be completed and that your inappropriate or no longer necessary Data be deleted. We would like to point out that you are obliged to check the accuracy of the Data you provide at any time.
- Right to erasure: if you no longer wish your Data to be processed and you qualify for the right to erasure, we will delete your Data from our database.
- Right to portability: where appropriate, you will also have the right to the portability of your Data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
- Right to object: you have the right to object to the use of your Data when the processing is based on the legitimate interest of VIASAT CONNECT.
- Right to limit processing: finally, you have the right to obtain from VIASAT CONNECT the limitation of the processing of your Data, in accordance with the applicable Data protection legislation.

8. What happens in case of a litigation ?
If you believe that we are in breach of any of our legal and/or contractual obligations, please contact us by email at dpo@viasatconnect.be. We will make every effort to follow up with you as soon as possible.
Any claim, complaint or grievance shall be addressed to the VIASAT CONNECT head office.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

9. Information about children
As a general rule, we do not intentionally collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from children under the age of 13, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible, unless we are required to retain it by applicable law.
If, however, we do collect information from children under the age of 13, we will obtain the consent of the holder of parental responsibility for that child before using his or her personal information.

VIASAT CONNECT’s liability shall be limited to direct damage, to the exclusion of any indirect damage. VIASAT CONNECT may never be held liable for damages deemed to be indirect, such as, but not limited to, loss of Data, financial or commercial loss, loss of profits, increased overheads, disruption of planning.
Furthermore, VIASAT CONNECT shall not be liable for any damage resulting from illegitimate manipulation of the Data by third parties (theft of Data, viruses, phishing or other computer crimes).
We would also like to point out that the links to the Website may contain hyperlinks and other references to other websites that we do not manage or control and to which these provisions do not apply. We are not responsible for the content of these websites or for the offers, products and services they provide.
