Cookie Policy
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text strings that are stored on your computer when you visit certain web pages. Cookies can perform different functions, such as allowing you to navigate between different pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and, in general, can improve the user’s experience on the site.
Some cookies are used for computer authentication, session monitoring, and storage of specific information about users who access a web page. These so-called technical cookies are often useful because they can make browsing and use of the web faster and more efficient, such as by facilitating certain procedures when you make online purchases, when you authenticate to restricted areas, or when a website automatically recognizes the language, you usually use.
A particular type of cookie, called analytics or tracking cookies, is used by website operators to collect information, in aggregate form, about the number of users and how they visit the site, and then process general statistics on the service and its usage.
Other cookies may be used to monitor and profile users during browsing, study their movements and habits in consulting the web or consumption, even for the purpose of sending targeted and personalized advertising services. We are talking in this case of profiling or marketing cookies.
It may also happen that a web page contains cookies from other sites and contents in various elements hosted on the same page, such as advertising banners, images, videos, etc. In these cases, we speak of so-called third-party cookies, which are usually used for profiling purposes. Therefore, the cookies you download on your PC, smartphone, and tablet can be read by other subjects, different from those who manage the web pages you visit.

2. How can I disable cookies?

As mentioned, cookies installed by websites can generally fall into one of the following categories depending on the purpose and/or function pursued.
3. Technical cookies, including session cookies (so-called 'functional' cookies, indispensable for operating the website):
Technical cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of the site itself, the provision of related services to ensure that the user can navigate and use the site normally.
4. Tracking or statistical cookies
These cookies are aimed at collecting information based on users’ interactions while browsing the website, in order to measure data and generate statistics on the use of the website itself, for reporting purposes of the data controller.
The measurement statistics services may make use of “cookies”, small text files that are deposited on the surfer’s PC to allow anonymous analysis of how the site is used. The information stored in the cookies are, in general: date and time of access to the site, unique ID, session ID. This data is sent to the servers where the software has been installed in order to process reports on how this website is used, to conduct web marketing activities, as well as to provide the user with functionalities and interaction while browsing. You can disable these cookies from your PC at any time by changing the Security and Privacy settings on your browser, but this option may limit some of the browsing functionality.
5. Preference cookies
Preference cookies allow a website to remember information that affects the way the site behaves or looks, such as your preferred language or your region. These cookies can be disabled, however some services may not be usable.
6. Marketing/profiling cookies, embedded content and social plugins
Marketing cookies are used to track visitors to websites. The intent is to display ads that are relevant and engaging to the individual user and therefore of greater value to third-party publishers and advertisers. These are generally third-party cookies. These cookies can be disabled, however some services may not be usable.
